Trick or Treat?

It’s nearly the end of October and the shops are full off Halloween goodies. Halloween or “All Hallows’ Eve” as it is otherwise known takes place yearly on 31st October and is originally a time of year to remember the dead, including saints (hallows), martyrs and all the faithful departed believers. Typical activities to celebrate include trick or treating, costume parties, carving pumpkins, apple bobbing, bonfires and visiting haunted attractions…

Many choose to go gothic at this time of year, and there is plenty of choice out there from bat necklaces, to skull rings, to spider ear cuffs, there is something out there for everyone and it doesn’t have to be tacky. We have seen a real increase in designers using the trends for their new collections. Punk was one of the biggest trends in AW2013, and with Dark Romance being announced for SS2014, we can expect to see some edgier jewellery pieces next year.

Whether you’re donning a witch’s outfit or dressing up as pumpkin, there are many jewellery treats out there to accompany your desired costume.  We’ve found a few spooky pieces below – it’s up to you to decide if they are tricks or treats?
