  • IJL is proud to be #withyou by recognising excellence, originality and creativity among our exhibitors through our esteemed Editors' Choice Awards. These long-standing accolades have put new exhibitors, returning exhibitors, emerging designers and graduate talents in the spotlight, honing in on what makes their brands unique.

    With the popularity of the Awards growing year-on-year, IJL has introduced a plethora of new and exciting categories.

    The Awards will be presided over by IJL Event Director, Sam Willoughby, Luxury Communications Consultant and Financial Times contributor, Claire Adler, and an esteemed panel of magazine and digital editor’s from the UK jewellery industry.

    Awarded to the brand or designer that showcases exceptional craftsmanship with technical finesse and a sound appreciation of both traditional and contemporary making skills.

    Creative Originality

    This Award will be presented to the brand or designer that impresses the judges with genuine originality, whether in terms of design, an innovative use of materials or striking colour combinations.

    Commercial Mastermind

    Is your jewellery collection destined to smash commercial targets and secure mass appeal among consumers? The Commercial Mastermind Award is designed to showcase the careful planning and execution required to launch a commercially savvy range.

    Technical Trailblazer - The Rock Hound – Chromanteq Bombe Rings

    The Chromanteq Bombe Rings exhibit a myriad of coloured gemstones from around the world, chosen as superb examples of saturation and life – selected from brilliantly green Namibian Demantoids, vivid blue Tourmalines, orange Mandarin Garnets and hot pink Mahenge Spinels.

    Creative Originality - Isabella Liu – Sea Rymes collection

    Isabellas Sea Rhymes collection is inspired by the great Japanese artist Hokusai’s ‘The Great Wave’, and Isabella’s fascination with the sound of the sea. Sculpturally formed with incredible sounds, swirling and curling lines represent the ocean.

    Commercial Mastermind- Franco Florenzi

  • 'At show' Editors' Choice Awards Categories

    The following four Awards will be judged during the three days of International Jewellery London and cannot be entered. Our esteemed panel of media editors will highlight their own personal shortlists for each category, with Sam Willoughby and Claire Adler casting the final votes.

    Designer to Watch
    This Award will be presented to the designer that captures the attention and imagination of our judging panel; cutting through the competition at Olympia to showcase flair, creativity and commercial potential.

    Show Stopper
    Do you have a single piece of jewellery that is guaranteed to stop journalists in their tracks? The Show Stopper Award will be presented to the designer or brand with the single most impressive piece of IJL 2017.

    Visual Excellence
    Visual merchandising is crucial on the shop floor, online and at trade events. The Visual Excellence Award will highlight the best stand of IJL 2017, as voted for by our judges.

    IJL Exhibitor of the Year
    Undoubtedly the most coveted Editor’s Choice Award, the IJL Exhibitor of the Year accolade will be presented to the brand, designer or business that showcases flair, creativity, innovation and commercial vision – the whole package!

    The winners in each of these categories will be announced at IJL 2017 from 3-5 September 2017.
