Susanne Asbeck of Nomades won the Prestigious Gem-Empathy Award at IJL 2011, awarded annually by the Gem-A to the exhibitor who displays jewellery presenting interesting gemstones in innovative designs, sold with enthusiasm and gem knowledge.
Nomades, based in Germany, not only presented outstanding jewellery, but impressed the judges with full disclosure of each stone’s source, if known. Jack Ogden, CEO of Gem-A, said: “At the very heart of each of Nomades’s designs is the gemstone. The unique designs display an enthusiasm for gemstones, and, coupled with full disclosure and an honest approach to gemstone sourcing, Nomades was the favourite amongst the judges.”
