biiju's Story

  • biiju is a London based fine jewellery brand, known for its signature handmade statement cocktail rings and interchangeable elements. They started trading during Christmas 2014, where the main focus was to sell online at, featuring a dedicated bespoke and customisable section of their website. Their ‘Ready to Wear’ collection proved very popular and ultimately prompted the decision to exhibit at IJL and present it to potential retailers.

As biiju was a new business and brand, making contacts and meeting the right retailers required significant investment in terms of time and energy - important resources which weren’t always available. Exhibiting at IJL meant the logistical side of it was taken care of. IJL was a very convenient and effective platform to present biiju to target retailers.

biiju’s objectives weren’t only to make new contacts and establish retail partnerships, but also to feel part of the jewellery community.  They wanted to be surrounded by excellence and innovation and to come away feeling motivated and inspired.

As a first time exhibitor, biiju’s results were very positive. New stockists were secured and months later, new business is still rolling in.

Other than securing new stockists, there were some great additional benefits to exhibiting at IJL. biiju took advantage of the show as a fantastic networking opportunity and many new and useful contacts were made. It was also very rewarding in terms of exposure in the form of social media attention and some wonderful press coverage for the brand.

"The decision to exhibit at IJL was definitely the right one. We're delighted with the positive response we've had - it's increased business and opened up some interesting and exciting opportunities. We've already booked our spot at IJL 2016." Joanna Boyen, biiju
