Jewellery Lover – Up to 12 Years Category

    Adeen Naseer (11), Wakefield

    Friendship is Forever pendant
"I was inspired by nature and beauty of friendship. The two curved sides represent two friends holding a daisy, and daisies symbolise friendship and innocence."

    Jewellery Lover - 12 – 18 Years Category

    Rebecca Clarvis (13), Stafford

    Leaf Cut Out Ring
"My design was inspired by the beauty of nature.  Leaves are the main design for my piece so whoever is wearing the ring can carry a bit of nature with them."

Jewellery Lover – Over 18 Category

    Marina Shavyrina-Shkolyar, Ukraine

    Weave Pendant
"William Morris’s poem Flora was my inspiration, ‘I am the handmaid of the earth, I broider fair her glorious gown, And deck her on her days of mirth, With many a garland of renown,’ with the stems and leaves of the plant like the curves of the female body."

    Student Jewellery Designer

Sally Costen, London Jewellery School, London

    Seachange Ring & Pendant
"'Seachange….into something rich and strange.’ Arial’s song – The Tempest, William Shakespere.  Ebb & flow. Channels curved into shifting sand. Rivulets and rockpools. The childish glee in finding something precious nestling within a crevice. Pushing toes into squidgy sand. Dipping fingers into sun warmed, glinting pools."

    Current Jewellery Designer

    Silvia Tjahyadi, London

    Droplet On A Leaf Pendant
"One morning after the rain had stopped I saw beautiful glistening droplets of water on leaves, similar to precious stones.  The wind suddenly blew, the droplets moved and disappeared. I love how that moment echoes the fleeting moment of beauty.  I was inspired to design this pendant; to capture the movement and beauty of a simple droplet of water on a leaf."
