IJL has become a Gold Partner of the 2012 Professional Jeweller Hot 100

IJL has become a Gold Partner of the Hot 100, organised by Professional Jeweller. The Hot 100, now in its third year, is a celebration for the entire community of jewellery professionals, from the designers, polishers and setters who create each piece through to the retailers and business owners that sell them. The invite-only event takes place on the Tuesday evening of the IJL show, after IJL closes for the day.

Professional Jeweller’s editor-in-chief Rachael Taylor said: “It is fantastic news that IJL has become a Gold Partner for the Professional Jeweller Hot 100. The partnership formalises a friendship that IJL and Professional Jeweller have enjoyed since we launched the Hot 100 alongside the show in 2010, and will open up an array of other exciting ideas for us working together.

“We hold the Hot 100 alongside IJL because we recognise it is the foremost jewellery exhibition in the UK, and attracts the cream of the British retailers and brands. It is the perfect fit for Professional Jeweller and IJL to be working in partnership on this glittering event.”

IJL has chosen to align itself with the NexGems category within the Hot 100, which recognises the talents and successes of the UK’s emerging design talent.

IJL will also create a private bar as part of the Professional Jeweller Hot 100 party where guests can gather for a more intimate conversation away from the throng of over 600 guests.

Sam Willoughby, IJL Event Director, commented: “IJL is delighted to be supporting the Hot 100 event as a Gold Partner. We are particularly pleased to be sponsoring the Nexgems category as we have for a long time placed much importance on supporting up and coming design talent, for example through our Bright Young Gems and KickStart initiatives at IJL. British Design is incredibly strong and it’s crucial that we develop it as much as possible.

“After a long and productive day at the show, suppliers and retailers can very much look forward to the exciting event that the Professional Jeweller team have planned for the Hot 100, and we are thrilled to be part of it.”

The Professional Jeweller Hot 100, in association with The Company of Master Jewellers, takes place on September 4th at Freemasons’ Hall in central London. It is an invitation-only party, with tickets supplied to guests of Professional Jeweller and its partners.
