F.Hinds/IJL High Street by Design 2014 Competition - The Winners

Jewellers F. Hinds and International Jewellery London (IJL) are delighted to announce the five winners of the High Street By Design 2014 competition:- 

Jewellery Lover – Up to 12 Years Category

Jewellery Lover - 12 – 18 Years Category
Noi McMillan from Girvan in Scotland

Jewellery Lover – Over 18 Category
Marina Shavyrina-Shkolyar from Khmelnitsky, Ukraine

Student Jewellery Designer
Shah Yesha Samirbhai from Ahmedabad, studying at the National Institute of Jewellery Design and Technology, India

Current Jewellery Designer
Winnie Lestari from Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia

Six further entries from across all five categories were highly commended and will be sent certificates and a small gift.

“We are delighted that our winners literally come from north, south, east and west”, said director Andrew Hinds.  “The vigour of jewellery design is amply illustrated by the number of competition entries we received and the quality of the winners’ pieces.  The next stage is to translate these sketch book designs into the finished items”.

All five jewellery pieces will appear for the first time at the International Jewellery Exhibition to be held at Olympia’s Grand Exhibition Centre, London (31st August – 2nd September 2014).  

The judging panel included Andrew Hinds – F. Hinds’ Director/Gold Buyer; Sarah Jordan – Celebrated, Award Winning Jewellery Designer/IJL Exhibitor; Bob Morrish – R. E. Morrish jewellery manufacturer/IJL Exhibitor; Sarah Kitley-Spencer – IJL Marketing Manager, Karen Rühr – F. Hinds’ Gold Buyer and a consumer representative.
