With over 15 years experience in the International and domestic jewellery markets, Simon has travelled all over the world experiencing differing market conditions, business methods and manufacturing techniques. Most recently, he worked out of the USA, distributing watch and jewellery brands to major corporates, including QVC, HSN, Gems TV, US Army, US Air Force and Sears Department Stores - in addition to remotely running a 15 strong independent retailer sales team.
With a well rounded knowledge of the jewellery market, Simon knows design and manufacturing processes, (with both jewellery and watches) - and has a good understanding of metals, stones and grading. Most importantly, he has extensive experience in "Taking Goods to Market" - the ability to bring together all the key aspects in making a service, product or brand viable and successful.
As a strong advocate of effective communication, Simon wants to encourage and stimulate a strong dialogue between the Association and the membership - with the goal of the BJA providing you with what you want to use. Aiming to add to the BJA's and membership's commercial prosperity, with a close watching brief to act on behalf of and protect the best interests of the British jewellery industry.
Ultimately, Simon wants the membership to know that they are getting excellent value for money and that the BJA is a growing, visible, relevant and credible organisation to look after membership needs.
